Light to Medium Duty Plastic Extrusion Pneumatic Guillotine for cutting extrusions to raw lengths during the extrusion process. Safely and consistently cuts extrusions to box lengths. Great for "Push and Pack" extrusion operations. As shown utilizes a 5" Bore 4" stroke air cylinder. Optional bores and strokes available per request. Pass Through opening is 3" height and 12" width, as shown. Custom sizes are available upon request. Shown with OSHA safety guarding at entry and exit of the die. Guards can be lifted, at either end, for each initial start-up. Conveyor rollers are hinged and can be lowered for relocation or storage. Control pendant can also be stored in the base unit to facilitate quick relocations and storage. Shown with height adjustable floor pegs to match line pass heights. Controls for this particular unit utilize a Digital Timer matched to individual line speeds, to determine lengths. Optional Rotary Encoder and controls, for more accurate control of lengths, can be included upon request. Control panel includes a digital readout, Emergency stop, Sample cut selection, Cycle Stop and Cycle Run push button controls. Requires 110v power and air supply. Base is 2" medium wall box tubing with solid bar steel cross-members to give the unit a low center of gravity. Can be manually attached to exit side of any "puller" to further stabilize operation.
